Yesterday we received a very special visit from Crown Princess Margareta of Romania during her first trip to Israel along with the Romanian Ambassador to Israel, Andreea Păstârnac. She came to visit Save a Child‘s Heart and Wolfson Medical Center in support of activities with the Grigore Alexandrescu hospital in Bucharest, Rotary Israel, Rotary Club Triumph and Rotary Romania Si Moldova.
As Crown Princess Margareta walked the hallways of Wolfson Medical Center, she met with the Director of the hospital, Dr. Yitzhak Berlovitz as well as Victor Steinberg, Ephraim Pri Har and Mali Levi from Rotary. She also met with two Romanian doctors who are training with us here in Israel, Dr. Victor Prisacari and Dr. Ioana Bejan. Professor Tiberiu Ezri, Dr. Sion Houri, SACH chairman Yoram Cohen and Executive Director of Save a Child’s Heart, Simon Fisher also attended the visit. Our entire medical staff was very pleased to have met Crown Princess Margareta and to tell her more about the work that Save a Child‘s Heart is doing.
After her visit to Wolfson Medical Center, Crown Princess Margareta arrived to Save a Child‘s Heart children‘s home where she met many of the children, including 3-year-old Octavian Stefan Biru and 5-year-old Alexandra Simona Macu from Romania. As the Crown Princess walked inside, the children welcomed her with open arms and sat in a circle singing songs for her with the help of their toy instruments. Many of the children then presented her with a plate they decorated for her, painted with drawings of hearts, flowers, and the Romanian flag. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed her visit while showing her what Save a Child‘s Heart is really all about.
We want to thank Crown Princess Margareta – it was a great pleasure meeting her and we hope to see her again soon. We would also like to thank Grigore Alexandrescu hospital in Bucharest, Rotary Israel, Rotary Club Triumph and Rotary Romania Si Moldova for their great work and support.
