As the team of save a child’s heart arrived to the hospital at Dar es Salam after just a couple hours of sleep, we were welcomed by the Tanzanian team and a line of parents and children waiting to be examined outside the Cardiology clinic.

The Tanzanian Cath lab team immediately began in unpacking the boxes together with Dr. Dima and head nurse Svetlana, preparing the room for the first procedure.

The PICU nurses unpacked and prepared the beds for the first children post catheterization.
