The seminar was attended by 30 participants, most of them medical residents, from the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramalla and the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon where the seminar was hosted.
Special focus was given to topics related to cultural sensitivity and competence in pediatric care which proved to be a big success, participants have requested further training in this area in future seminars.
Speakers included Dr. Itzhak Levav, an expert in cultural relations who works closely with Save a Child’s Heart, who spoke about Cultural Competence in Pediatric Care, Dr. Ahmad Zarour, who is currently training with Save a Child’s Heart, Dr. Doron Gavish and Dr. Abdelhaleem AbuHaltam.
The medical seminar is part of Save a Child‘s Heart flagship program ”Heart of the Matter”, a project funded by USAID and the European Union Partnership for Peace.
